To become a balanced and economically viable community in the 21st century, Chapel Hill needs to adopt the ordinance changes that will provide the opportunity for a mixture of residents with ages, interests, economic variety and commitment to being an educational and social beacon for the future, not a remnant of the past history of economic and social elitism.

Not a fan… developers are already stealing the soul of Chapel Hill… equality is when the haves and have-nots enjoy the same basic rights … not building on coal ash or depriving low income neighborhoods of green space . Density but not for the wealthy with HOA’s ? Affordable housing torn down for luxury apartments? Parking decks mushrooming while touting a desire for a walkable community ? Chapel Hill is being choked by big developers and inadequate infrastructure. This Council is on the wrong path and history will not view their decisions kindly…
