Karen - I'm so glad you are on Town Council. Such a thoughtful and informative newsletter. Thank you for your strong leadership. Keep up the great work!
Agreed with the other commenters. This clear, transparent, and thought-out explanation is refreshing, especially when compared to the FUD-filled newsletter sent out last week by Adam Searing.
I am an individual whose opinion differs from yours. I am not a part of any organized group. Your message to me in this newsletter is that I don't have the right to disagree with you. I find your tone and disparagement disrespectful. Information that is different from yours is not misinformation. Individuals who present different opinions based on their serious research is not the work of malcontents. Name-calling of one of your council colleagues is not professional behavior. It is my hope that you will reconsider your attempt to create division. Represent your position without denigrating those who do not agree with you. Thank you for the space to respond to your newsletter.
Hi Susan - thanks for your comments. I absolutely respect differing opinions. My goal is for public opinion to be based on facts. The purpose of my post was to share the facts of the process the Town has gone through to date, where we are in that decision-making process, and accurate information on the site itself. I did not think it was appropriate in this post to cite the specifics, but if it would be helpful, I could share more with you one-on-one about what is not factual about what has been circulated.
